Design to deliver location partner

As part of our Blue Natural Capital Lab and network, Sussex Bay has been selected as one of three location partners by the Connected Places Catapult, the UK’s innovation accelerator for cities, transport, and place leadership. Applications are open for small- to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to apply for the brand-new Design to Deliver programme, closing date 5pm UK time, 25th October 2024.

Four SME-led projects will be selected per challenge by the Connected Places Catapult team, with each SME receiving up to £50,000 to develop their solution alongside a proposed trial plan.

Design to Deliver is a collaboration between three Catapult centres: Connected Places Catapult, Digital Catapult and Satellite Applications Catapult – developed in collaboration with and funded by Innovate UK. Each Catapult has set a challenge in their respective industries, linked by the theme of regenerating and connecting people to nature.

We are asking innovators to consider how to unlock human behaviours to regenerate nature through leveraging accessible, accurate and actionable information.

In addition to funding, each project will also receive support from a specialised design consultancy, the respective Catapults’ technical team and a location partner.

As a location partner, we will help innovators on the programme with access to key people and places where they can consider the practical implementation of their solution.

Sussex Bay is proud to be one of three location partners and we look forward to working with the selected SMEs as we roll out the UK’s first Blue Natural Capital Lab and network and co-produce with communities our Blueprint for Seascape Recovery.
